Well done to Year 1 on completing their phonics screening check this week. They all tried really hard and we are very proud of all of them.
From next week we will be starting an open classroom on a Friday after school. This is a trial until the end of the school year and is for Year 1 only. Parents and carers are welcome to come into their child’s classroom between 3.15 and 3.45 to ask questions or get ideas on how to support their child’s learning further at home. We will be happy to go through the home learning, Phonics, Maths concepts or reading strategies with you.
Year 1 have a busy few weeks ahead so keep up to date using our blog.
On 25th June is our trip to the Gruffalo trail at Thorndon Country Park. Ensure children are in school uniform and have appropriate shoes and a packed lunch.
Messy Church is also on the 25th June.
Transition day is 11th July. Children will be spending the morning in Year 2.
Final Messy Church is on 16th July
Summer concert and Summer fair is on 23rd July
Last day is 24th July and finish is at 1.30
