Wormley Cof E Primary Early Years Prospectus

Sep 27 Reception Admissions:

For children born between 01/09/2022 and 31/08/2023.

Hertfordshire County Council manage our school admissions.

Online applications open on Monday 2^nd November 2026 and will need to be made here.

We will be holding school tours in November but haven’t yet set our dates. Please contact the school office in October on 01992 303331 opt 7 or email admissions@wormleyprimary.co.uk to book a school tour. These are for prospective parents in September 2027.

Sep 27 Nursery Admissions:

For children born between 01/09/2023 and 31/08/2024.

Wormley Primary School directly handle the admissions for our Nursery. Our Nursery is available to all 3 and 4 year olds.

Nursery Applications for 27/28 open: Friday 6^th November 2026

Application Closing Date: Friday 19^th March 2027 (applications can be accepted at any point after this date, but will be subject to availability).

Morning Nursery: 9am-12pm

30 Hours: 9am-3pm

30 Hour Funding:

All 3 and 4 year olds are entitled to 15 hours a week free early education for 38 weeks of the year. Some 3 and 4 year olds may be entitled to 30 hours a week free education. The 30 hour free childcare entitlement is available to those families who meet the criteria. Parents can check their eligibility on: https://www.tax.service.gov.uk/childcare-calc/

If you are eligible for 30 hour childcare a code will need to be provided to the Nursery. If you are not eligible, but wish to pay for the additional hours, the cost would be £6 an hour (£18 a day).
