We have had a very exciting day today, learning about how to love our planet.  To help us to remember how to do this we listened to the 3 Rs song – Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.  We discussed the positive impacts of doing this on the environment and on animals that live on land and in the sea.  We also discussed the impact on these if we do not look after our planet.  To reinforce our learning we watched Charlie and Lola – Love our Planet, from this, we have decided to focus on recycling.  We are going to have a picture of a tree and every time we collect something that can be recycled, we will add a leaf to our tree.  When the tree is full of leaves, we are going to grow a new plant in our nature area.  We also made a pledge to recycle items into the correct bins and we are going to introduce these into our classrooms and ensure that our indoor and outdoor environments are both kept free from litter.  We also had a visit from a global warming superhero, please ask your child to tell you all about it as they had so much fun!
