Arlesdene, Greenfield and High Trees ~ supporting parents and children to achieve their aspirations

Herts Family Centre

The Family Support Service continues to provide one to one support for families identified as needing additional support using our agreed packages of support.

Professionals may refer families for support using the online referral form located in the ‘Professionals Area’ of the hertsfamilycentres.org website.

Referrals are forwarded to the relevant district, the referrer will receive confirmation of receipt and initial contact with the family will be made within 3 working days.

The online referral system is now widely used and referrals are being made by a range of partner agencies. A small number have been declined due to staffing levels however additional staff are currently being recruited. A small number of referrals were not appropriate for Family Support. All declined referrals are passed back to the referrer with advice on why it was declined and advice about who may be better able to support.

The types of support requested do vary by area but the most frequently requested packages across the County are:

  • Routines,
  • Guidance and Boundaries,
  • Parent Emotional Wellbeing and
  • Protective Behaviours
