Virtual sports day

This years’ Sports Day will be held on Friday 22nd May. Since we are unable to have a
traditional Sports Day, we have planned a Sports Day that families can take part in
instead. This includes many different activities that children can do indoors or outside.
They will have ‘Bingo Cards’ to record the activities they complete and they will be
able to win points for their Houses by completing the end of the day online quiz.

The structure of the day:

Time Event Where to find this information
9.00-9.30am Complete a Joe Wicks Workout

9.30am – 12.00pm

How children can earn points for their house team:

Points will be awarded for each activity that your child completes on the bingo card and for completing a mini olympics with the people in your household. Extra points will be given for photo or video evidence of your child completing the activities. Points will only be awarded via the quiz uploaded on the classroom, so this must be completed if you would like to earn house points.

Why is the google quiz important?

At 2.00pm you will be able to complete the google quiz that is posted into your child’s classroom. It is essential that your child completes this to earn points for their house team. Each event that is completed will earn them a point. Each photo you upload also earns you extra points for your house. Completed quizzes will not be accepted after 2.40pm as staff need time to calculate scores.

What house is my child in?

A house list will have been uploaded to your child’s classroom to tell you which house they are in.

All of the information about the day will be uploaded onto the Google Classroom. We hope you enjoy the offline day of activities.
Fingers crossed as always for good weather!
