Welcome back Year 2! We hope you have had a fun-filled Easter eating lots of eggs and spending time with your family and friends! How many Easter Eggs did you find on your hunt? Miss Rockall was a bit cheeky and ate most of hers before Easter Sunday! Miss Marks couldn’t believe her luck when she found a mini Barbie doll inside her Kinder Egg!

Scrumptious!

One of our highlights of the holidays was watching the new Beauty and the Beast film!

Our favourite characters from the film!

We can’t wait to hear all about your fun adventures!

Now back to reality… it’s time to get our Learning Hats on! We are going to kick start our half term with a Geography focus. We will be learning about our local area and exploring Wormley using our fieldwork skills.

We will also be continuing to develop our reading comprehension skills through our class text ‘George and the Knight’. Please ensure you are reading every night to develop your fluency! In the first few weeks of our Maths learning, we will be focusing on revising place value and the four main operations! We can’t wait to enjoy the wobble when facing new challenges!

PE is still on a Friday afternoon so make sure your kits are in school. With the warmer weather approaching, do remember to bring your water bottles, hats and even sun-cream for when the scorching sun makes an appearance! #wordoftheday

Ciao for now!
