Year 2
We hope that the children have enjoyed their first couple of weeks back as much as we have! We are quickly getting to know the children and have been impressed by their attitude towards their learning.
This term our topic is The Great Fire of London! We will be learning different facts, writing diaries, looking at maps and developing lots of our historical enquiry skills to help us to answer ‘Who was to blame for The Great Fire of London?’
We are looking forward to the History off the Page Day and our ‘living museum’. We can’t wait to see the children (and staff!) dressed up for the day.
Forest School
We will be going to Forest School on a Tuesday so please make sure all children have named wellies in school.
PE
We will have PE on a Thursday. Please ensure all kit and bags are labelled with names and that the children have spare socks too.
PARENT HELPERS
We will shortly be putting up a signup sheet for class helpers on our notice board, please sign up here if you would like to help in class. Thank you for your kind offers of help so far – we really appreciate it!
RAINBOW WORDS:
We will also be sending home Rainbow Words with a letter reminding / explaining how these work. Please practise these at home with your child.
