Welcome back. We hope you had a lovely half term and ready for our last half term in year 3?
To kick off our exciting half term we went to the Royal Opera House in Covent Garden to watch the Royal Ballet company perform Swan Lake. The children had an excellent day and thoroughly enjoyed watching the talented dancers.
This half term in Geography we will be exploring California and learning about extreme weather.
In Maths we have been looking at fractions and are going to be moving onto multiplication and division. Please make sure you are practising your timetables at home as this will really help!
In English we will be reading a brand new book called ‘To the edge of the world’ by Julie Green. We will be creating a morale story and a newspaper report.
Please continue to read at home at least 4 times a week and practise spellings too!
Year 3 and 4 are taking part in a inter-house timetables challenge. Year 3’s will be competing on Tuesday 26th June 2018. Please encourage your child to practise at home using the website TT rock stars, https://ttrockstars.com/. The children can earn house points, Trott house are leading at the moment!
We thank you for your continued support
