  • provide appropriate pastoral care; and
  • assess the quality of our services
  • safeguard children

This information will include their contact details, national curriculum assessment results, attendance information, any exclusion information and details about where they go after they leave us. The school will also process Sensitive Personal Data which may include personal characteristics such as ethnicity, and any special educational needs a child may have as well as relevant medical information. Sensitive Personal Data is only processed where it is legally necessary, in the interests of the data subject or where there is specific consent from the data subject. We are required, by law, to pass certain information about our pupils to our local authority (LA) and the Department for Education (DfE). DfE may also share pupil level personal data that we supply to them, with third parties. This will only take place where legislation allows it to do so and it is in compliance with the Data Protection Act 2018 and the General Data Protection Regulation.

The school is supported by a Data Protection Officer (Mr. Chris Williams), who is responsible for ensuring that the school is compliant with data protection legislation and good practice.

We will not give information about our pupils to anyone without your consent unless the law and our policies allow us to do so.

Parents are entitled to request a copy of the information about themselves or their child that we hold. Please see our freedom of information policy or aske the school about the subject access request procedures. .
