History is important. It helps understand our place in the world. Local history helps us connect the bigger picture with our small place in it.
This coming Thursday 28th September, Year 5 will explore some of this local history first hand with a walking trip to the New River. The New River has an interesting story and students will both learn about it’s construction, purpose, as well as employ some geographical and investigational skills.
Students must wear school uniforms but are permitted to wear walking shoes or trainers for the day.
