On Tuesday 25th March, former British gymnast and Commonwealth medallist, Steve Frew attended school to lead a fitness circuit and assembly for the children.

Steve told the story of his career and how he had failed several times before winning Gold at the 202 Commonwealth games in Manchester. He left the children with few important messages: Never give up and Believe in yourself. The children were able to link his message to agent resilient and agent confident.

Steve also impressed the children with a handstand on the benches. But the best round applause was saved for an acrobatic superman dive off a small springboard over three children and Mr Emmett before landing with tucked forward roll.

The children and staff loved the morning and were inspired by Steve’s attitude and story.
